The Buckeyes are +105 to qualify and +725 to win, while Georgia, last year’s runner-up, is +125 to qualify and +830 to win. Rounding out the top four to both make the 2018 CFP field and win it are Ohio State and Georgia. The Tigers are a bit behind the rival Tide at -135 to qualify and +430 to be crowned national champions, but still have much better odds than most programs across the country. That means bettors would have to risk $4.85 to win $1 on ‘Bama qualifying for the CFP, while those that back the program to repeat as champs would net $2.60 for every $1 wagered should it come to fruition. The Crimson Tide top both lists, opening as a -485 favorite to receive a bid to the CFP and is +260 chalk to defend their title and win it all for the third time in four years. Sportsbooks have recently unveiled their complete lists of odds for every notable school to qualify for the 2018 CFP, as well as to win the 2018 CFP championship game.
